The Return of the King

1.21.4 Update
Big news for 2025 that will brighten your year, the server is back online and updated to 1.21.4!
It has been a long time since the last update and since then the server has been in disrepair and recently not running due to a server OS upgrade making the old Java required incompatible, requiring updating everything. I found some time and an itch recently to get it back up and running. Until now, the server has been running on the same dedicated server for about 12 years now (which is impressive that old server and hard drives are still kicking). I had a spare computer at my house and have very good upload speeds, so decided to host the server inhouse from now on. This will bring increased stability and reliability.

Everything seems to be working, but if any bugs or issues are found please reach out to me.

The future
The server will probably remain in this maintenance state for the future, with me keeping the lights on but not advancing anything like builds or setups. I'm busy with my PhD program and don't have the drive for Minecraft like I used to. Now this would change if there was a pickup of activity on the server and if there was more of a financial benefit, which up to this point the server has never made a profit. I don't really expect this trend to change, especially from what the Minecraft server scene is nowadays and how far removed the server is from the older player base, many who have probably moved on or forgotten about the server.

So if you're reading this and you have ideas for the server or would like to contribute more like being staff, please reach out to me on here or any of my social medias. I'm the only one here and I'm open to anyone with the passion who wants to carry the torch. I'm open to other partnerships too as I do have the dev experience and hardware resources that would be a boon for any server.
